XpressMedCare uses Instymeds for on-site medication dispensing*. Instymeds is a fully-automated prescription drug dispensing system providing the most common medications needed in a walk-in clinic setting (i.e. antibiotics, pain relievers, anti-inflammatory, inhalers, etc.). InstyMeds charges the same price as a retail pharmacy for medications and processes insurance.

*For chronic, long-term medications, such as for your heart, blood pressure, or diabetes for instance, the involvement of your community pharmacist is still an important part of your health maintenance and therefore is not available through InstyMeds.
How it works:
- Step 1: Receive an InstyMeds voucher from your XpressMedCare provider.
- Step 2: At the InstyMeds dispenser, enter in the voucher’s unique code along with your (or your child’s) birth date.
- Step 3: Insert a credit or debit card to pay for the prescription cost or insurance co-pay.
- Step 4: The InstyMeds dispenser performs a triple bar code check and dispenses the prescription for you to take and be on your way – all within 5 minutes!
